I have crappy chappy lips at the moment because of winter and it being so cold so I was in the poundshop the other day (I love them) and saw chapstick. Probably one of the oldest lipbalms there is and thought it might be worth a shot. Not expecting much but I haven't had chapped lips since buying it. I got strawberry first and now have the apple. :]

25th December
It's CHRISTMAS DAY! :D and friday..!
1. Egg nog or hot chocolate? Hot chocolate – egg nog is americany weirdness!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Presents have to be wrapped! Whats the point of buying a present and not wrapping it?!
3. Coloured lights on tree/house or white? Gold, I like a traditional red and gold tree :]
4. Do you hang mistletoe? We did one year and had crap luck that year if I recall correctly, so we don't anymore
5. When do you put your decorations up? About 2 – 3 weeks before Christmas. I love how warm and homely it makes the house feel and we (ok I) always buy something new each year
6. What is your favourite Christmas food? Well people always moan about having turkey but I love turkey. Malteaser celebrations and cheesy puffs are always good too :D
7. Favourite Christmas memory as a child? Hmm a few. I got a pram one year and my mum told me that the box was empty and it was full of bottles (why this is a favourite I don't know) but I remember being so happy when I opened it and the pram was there.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I just got older I guess?
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No no, Santa wouldn't have bought them yet
10. What's your favourite Christmas song? 'Bring in the Calvary', 'driving home for Christmas' or 'I wish it could be Christmas everyday'
11. Snow: love it or hate it? Love it, who doesn't love snow?!
12. Can you ice skate? Probably not!
13. Do you remember your favourite gift? GHDs! I like all (ok most) of what I get :]
14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you? Family, food, buying things for people.
15. What tops your tree? A gold star
16. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? Both! :D
17. Favourite Christmas movie? Miracle on 34th street, ELF, Love Actually, The Holiday, Home Alone
18. What do you leave for Santa? We used to leave milk, a carrot and mince pies but we're a bit too old for that now..
19. Do you Travel at Christmas or Stay home? I prefer to stay at home really. I love setting out the presents and cooking in my kitchen :]
20. Do you do your own Christmas baking? I like to make mince pies, biscuits, Christmas pudding, sausage rolls, pigs in blanket, Yule logs, and we did pickled onions, eggs and cabbage this year.
21. Are you still wrapping presents on Christmas Eve? Hopefully not, but I actually like the idea of leaving it until the last minute to wrap.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? People panic buying the weirdest things in Tesco like Brussel Pate. Who would want to eat that seriously?
23. What do you want for Christmas this year? Snow!
24.Have you been naughty or nice this year? You'll have to ask Santa that..

I bought a couple of things for my sister for christmas and in superdrug they had a 3 for 2 offer, so I picked a freebie of this lipgloss that I resisted buying for such a long time (I have lipgloss, I don't really need more) It's toffee smelling (smells sooo good!) and it was free, so no guilt for me! :D

8 Things I Wish I Could Do
1. Take better photos. I think I should be so much better at it than I am
2. Not worry SO much about everything.. everything!
3. Eat better.
4. Paint. My grandad used to paint lovely pictures and I think I get the want to be creative from him, but i've never tried it really. Who knows I could actually be really good at it!
5. Stop buying lipglosses and nail varnishes, but they call out to me..
6. Drive. The thought scares me a little but I think it would be great to have that freedom and I could drive to the beach then.
7. Go to Australia or New Zealand or both!
8. Have the money to open up my own bakery and smoothie shop. I probably could now but i'd lose it all in the recession!

Asos had an offer spend £6 and get £5 off so I got a necklace, a candle and bubble bath for £6.40 instead of £11.40. But the bubble bath leaked over everything and the necklace was nasty! So I emailed them to complain as the bubble bath wasn't wrapped up or anything, and they sent me replacements, which was good of them. I sold the necklaces for £6 for 2 so I got 1 and a half bubble baths and 2 candles for free..

Me and my sister went to the Taste of Christmas at the Excel. I got free tickets worth £22 each. It was so much fun! It's basicially loads of different shops/foody online people showing you what they make and you can buy their produce at a little discount. There was chocolate, cake, biscuits, chutney, meat, drinks, crackers, sauces, tea, .. so much stuff and you got to try it for free! I bought some christmas chutney, christmas decorations, creme caramel and chocolate tea, and a present for my sister. We also got to see a few chefs doing demonstrations :] A good but tiring day.

I bought these for my secret santa who apparently loves Stars and Cath Kidston, so I thought these were cute and would incorporate the two.
But I love them.
And want to keep them! I got them from ebay so maybe I could get myself some.

Lovely ELF bits. When ELF have free shipping, Its usually the time I buy a couple of things from there. This time I bought the Translucuent (sp) powder compact, which works amazingly well! The undereye concealer and highlight (again works amazing) and my favourite thing, mineral lip gloss in pageant princess. It looks really pink but it's lovely and sheer.

Taken at the Carvery where we went for dinner. It was super quiet (which is crap because the waiter people slow down even more and seem to do even less work than usual.. the 2 men waiting got a bit confused and thought they had to cut the meat and get the stuffing/yorkies themselves, which they did.. so they could have got 2 meals out of it as you're supposed to give your ticket in when you go to get the meat part of the dinner.. I can remember that for next time!)
Anyway, it's ok there. It's really cheap and the meat is nice, although it feels so weird when there's hardly anyone there. It's much nicer in summer, plus they have green beans in summer. I love those things way too much.

My new love is pickled stuffs! Onions and Cabbage especially. My aunt usually makes her own and we get given a jar but I wanted to do our own, so we bought 1kg of onions, and the vinegar stuff and managed to get 3 jars of onions. We've also done 2 jars of red cabbage!

Some pages from the lovely cookbook I bought from Costco. It's a book of all older traditional british dishes. I've been wanting a book like this for ages, since some of the cook books I have can be a bit 'Americanized'. It brings back so many memories and includes things like shepherds Pies, Stews, Steamed Puddings and traditional roasts.

Friday Fun!
Instead of posting a picture everyday, I'm to do something different on a friday, whether it be a quiz, or my thoughts on something. Just to make it different and so i'm not posting the same old pictures as I seem to be doing lately..
So
Favourites
Movie: Amelie is my alltime favourite but there are others like little miss sunshine, the notebook, the holiday, forrest gump, eternal sunshine, the terminal, and on and on.
TV Show: too many again! Lost, Mock the Week, Gavin and Stacey, Outnumbered, Kath and Kim, Most sports, Reality tv (Celebrity Jungle, Strictly) The Family and any cooking show (esp come dine with me, ace of cakes and something for the weekend!) I watch too much tv so it seems.
Colours: Blue
Song: Too many to list..
Candy: Curly Wurlys (lovelovelove), maltesers, crunchies and I love pick and mix
Restaurant: Don't really do restaurants, although I love a carvery and chinese takeaway!
Store: Lush and Paperchase
School: Too long ago too remember
Book: The last one I loved was Addition by Tony.. something.. I think that's my favourite as it makes sense to how things are at the moment.
Magazine: I only read free magazines from supermarkets (I love them, I'm not ashamed!) I read the paper everyday though
Shoes: Nike trainers

Another top I bought (I should really look for more trousers, as I only have a few pairs I wear? I hate shopping for trousers though) I think I like this top, I do but it is quite 'loud' I'm undecided.
I really want to like it, but something is stopping me. I don't like drawing attention to myself and I think this top might?

I bought this to wear over christmas I think. It was £16 or something, can't really remember and I had a coupon to get £3 off a £15 spend and then it was 25% off, so it worked out so much cheaper, which is cool.
