We decided to get a new kitty as the house felt very empty without a pet (I wanted a puppy but I doubt I ever will, although I try not to overthink it as it makes me blue)
Anyway after much searching, hurdles and phone calls, we went to visit this kitten. She's nearly 12 weeks, tiny, and very very timid.
She will hopefully be coming home with us in a few days. Excitment!
